Alessi — Plissé MDL09 MDL09 B/UK | Black resin blender by De Lucchi

There is something immediately recognizable about the Plissé: that surface of vertical pleats evoking the finest tailoring, the pleated fabric transformed into a household object without losing any of its formal elegance. Made of black thermoplastic resin, with a graduated PCTG jug, the blender commands attention on the kitchen countertop not as a simple appliance but as a functional sculpture - 42.5 centimeters of vertical presence, quiet and decisive. Michele De Lucchi, one of the most significant figures in contemporary Italian design, created this piece with the stylistic coherence that has always distinguished his work: the ability to find a humanistic, almost poetic vein in geometric rigor. De Lucchi - already a leading figure in the Memphis movement in the 1980s, and later founder of the AMDL CIRCLE studio - brings to the Plissé the same sensitivity he applied to architectural and visual communication projects on a much larger scale. The plissé motif is not decoration: it is structure, a formal grammar that gives the surface character and the material meaning. At Stilmobili, we chose the Plissé because it represents exactly what we look for when selecting an object for the kitchen: not simple technical efficiency - 700 watts of power, a 150 cl jug - but the ability to transform an everyday gesture into a conscious act. It is the ideal object for those who consider the kitchen a space for design, not compromise; for those who refuse to accept that usefulness must come at the expense of beauty. Project notes: 700W of power, PCTG jug with a graduated scale up to 150 cl. Black thermoplastic resin body. Dimensions: 23.5 × 18.5 × 42.5 cm. UK plug. Part of the Alessi Palinsesto fall/winter collection. End-of-line reference - limited availability.
