Alessi — Plissé MDL08BW MDL08BW W | White brioche-warming rack by De L

There is something almost architectural about the way Plissé presents itself on the kitchen countertop. The pleated surface that gives the object its name is not a decorative flourish: it is a precise formal language, a series of regular folds in 18/10 stainless steel that evoke accordion-pleated fabric, transforming a household appliance into a small exercise in style. The white thermoplastic resin base anchors the piece with lightness, making white not a neutral color but a statement of intent - one of formal cleanliness and luminous rigor. Michele De Lucchi designed Plissé with the consistency of someone who has always believed that industrial design should know how to engage with everyday life without giving up poetry. De Lucchi - one of the leading figures in contemporary Italian design, founder of AMDL CIRCLE and creator of works ranging from architecture to objects - gives this brioche warmer rack the same attention he devotes to larger-scale architecture: carefully studied proportions, a surface as expressive skin, and function never separated from form. We at Stilmobili chose it because Plissé represents exactly what we look for when curating the Alessi selection: objects capable of making breakfast a mindful act. It is designed for those who consider the kitchen a space for care rather than mere utility, for those who refuse to accept that a toaster should be invisible or banal. Ideal as a valuable gift, it makes a discreet impression on any countertop. Design notes: 18/10 stainless steel and thermoplastic resin. Dimensions: 26 × 10.5 × 5.5 cm. Net weight: 125 g.
