Alessi — Plissé MDL07W MDL07W/USA | White De Lucchi electric citrus juicer

There is something deeply morning-like about Plissé. Its shape - a fluted cone evoking the pleating of a fabric, the ordered geometry of a miniature Doric column - transforms the everyday act of juicing into a small domestic ritual. Made of glossy, compact white thermoplastic resin, this electric citrus juicer takes its place on the countertop with the elegant discretion of an object that knows exactly what it is. Eighty-five quiet watts, a diameter of 18.5 centimeters, a height of 28: proportions designed to look at home wherever it stands. The design bears the signature of Michele De Lucchi, one of the most influential architects and designers on the contemporary Italian scene, who first rose to prominence in the Memphis movement in the 1980s and later became a refined interpreter of warm, humanistic modernism. With Plissé, De Lucchi explores texture as a formal language: the vertical grooves are not decoration but visual structure, the way light glides across the surface and makes it look different at every hour of the day. The name itself - Plissé, the pleating of haute couture - reveals the intention: to bring sartorial precision into the kitchen. At Stilmobili, we chose Plissé because it represents exactly what we believe in: beauty should not be reserved for the living room. It is the ideal gift for those who love authentic design and refuse to compromise even at the breakfast counter. For the kitchen of those who collect objects with a soul.
