Alessi — Plissé MDL07R MDL07R/USA | Red De Lucchi electric citrus juicer

There is something almost architectural about the way Plissé occupies the kitchen counter. Its form is an exercise in applying geometry to everyday life: the grooved cone - pleated, in fact, like a tailored fabric - rises from the cylindrical base with the precision of an object designed to be admired even when it is not in use. The lacquer-red thermoplastic resin is not merely a supplementary color choice: it is a statement. This citrus juicer wants to be seen, recognized, and remembered. Plissé was created by Michele De Lucchi, one of the most authoritative figures in contemporary Italian design, founder of AMDL CIRCLE and a protagonist of crucial periods in European design culture - from Memphis to the era of major institutional commissions. With Alessi, De Lucchi translates his sensitivity to primary forms and essential volumes into a household object bearing the unmistakable signature of a master designer: nothing is accidental, nothing is superfluous. Beyond its evident material appeal, the cone's pleated texture serves a precise function in juice extraction, naturally guiding the flow. At Stilmobili, we chose Plissé because it represents exactly the intersection that interests us: that between a functional object and a collectible piece. It is the ideal citrus juicer for those who furnish their kitchen with the same care given to the living room, for those who consider the worktop an area for display as well as operation. Listed as discontinued, Plissé now also carries the understated value of rarity. Project notes: Power 85W, diameter 18.5 cm, height 28 cm. Red thermoplastic resin. USA plug (MDL07R/USA).
