Alessi — Plissé MDL07GR MDL07GR/UK | Green De Lucchi electric citrus juicer

There is something almost botanical about Michele De Lucchi's Plissé: that intense, vivid green, which seems to evoke the flesh of the citrus fruits themselves, the freshness of a morning that begins well. The form is an exercise in rigor and sensuality at once — the pleated surface that gives the object its name is not merely an aesthetic detail, but a design gesture that transforms a kitchen appliance into a small monument to be left on display on the worktop. Eighty watts of quiet power, a thermoplastic resin that provides solidity and lightness at the same time. Michele De Lucchi, one of the most influential architects and designers in the contemporary Italian scene, brings to this project the same tension that has run through his entire career: that between the purity of form and the warmth of the everyday object. The Plissé was born within the major editorial program through which Alessi redesigned the world of kitchen appliances, bringing to it the same formal and narrative care that has characterized its production for decades. An object that does not hide, that is not justified solely by its function. At Stilmobili, we chose the Plissé because it represents exactly what we look for: the point where design stops being ornament and becomes quality of life. It is the ideal citrus juicer for those who do not compromise — not only in the kitchen. Those who furnish with intention, who choose every detail with the same care reserved for a sofa or a desk lamp, will recognize in this object a worthy counterpart.
