Alessi — Plissé MDL06 MDL06 W/UK | White resin electric kettle

There is something deeply familiar about the Plissé, yet every time it enters the kitchen it brings with it a small surprise. The pleated surface that gives it its name is not ornament for its own sake: it is a texture that invites touch, a visual rhythm that transforms an everyday gesture - filling, waiting, pouring - into a moment of aesthetic awareness. Made of white thermoplastic resin, the kettle offers an almost sartorial lightness, like a striped fabric stretched over a soft, well-proportioned form. Michele De Lucchi, one of the clearest voices in contemporary Italian design, signs this piece with the distinctive stylistic character that sets him apart: the ability to find warmth in the industrial object and humanity in the serial form. De Lucchi - already a leading figure in the Memphis Group and later a refined interpreter of a more tempered modernism - gives the Plissé a geometry that recalls the world of textile craftsmanship without ever abandoning the precision of industrial design. The result is an appliance that seems to retain a memory of hands. At Stilmobili, we chose the Plissé because it embodies exactly what we look for in high-end kitchen objects: not performance for its own sake, but the ability to make the space they inhabit more beautiful. It is designed for those who consider the kitchen a place of care - for themselves and for their guests - and who do not want to sacrifice aesthetic coherence even in the most functional tools. Project notes: 1.7-liter capacity, 2400W power for rapid and efficient boiling. Compact dimensions (21 × 16 × 29 cm) to fit discreetly on any worktop. Available with a UK plug.
