Alessi — Plissé MDL06 MDL06/1WUK | White resin electric kettle

There is something almost sculptural about the way Plissé occupies the countertop. Its white thermoplastic resin body rises with composed verticality, marked by the pleated texture that gives the object its name and transforms a smooth surface into a story of light and shadow. It is not merely a kettle: it is a formal gesture that engages with the kitchen as a vase or a fine ceramic piece would. The hand that grips it immediately senses the attention to detail, the carefully studied proportions, and the balanced weight of an object designed to last - aesthetically, even before technically. Michele De Lucchi, one of the absolute protagonists of Italian design, created Plissé with the same sensibility that made him recognizable from Memphis through the years of Europe's great industrial design era. De Lucchi has always cultivated the ability to infuse mass-produced objects with artisanal warmth, and Plissé is a precise demonstration of this: the pleating evokes tailoring, weaving, and the structured fabrics of the Italian tradition. A kettle that serves as an ambassador for a refined material culture. At Stilmobili, we chose it because it perfectly represents what we seek for our clients' kitchens: objects that do not hide in cabinets but inhabit countertops with dignity. Plissé is ideal for those who consider the kitchen a living space and not merely a functional one, for those who want every element - even the most everyday one - to contribute to a coherent aesthetic design. Design notes: 1-liter capacity, 2400W power, dimensions 21 × 16 × 20 cm. Available with a UK plug. Part of the Alessi collection, spring/summer lineup.
