Alessi — Plissé MDL06/1WUS | White De Lucchi resin electric kettle

There is something profoundly Mediterranean about the Plissé: its fluted surface captures the light like freshly ironed linen, while its pure white silhouette evokes the absolute simplicity of the limestone architecture of the South. Made of white thermoplastic resin, this 1500W electric kettle does more than simply heat water — it transforms an everyday gesture into a small ritual of beauty. The form is compact, almost sculptural: 21 centimetres wide, twenty high, with a one-litre capacity — enough for two cups of tea or a carefully prepared Americano. Michele De Lucchi, an architect and designer among the most influential figures in the contemporary Italian scene, created the Plissé with the same sensitivity that has defined decades of work between Memphis, Olivetti, and the major institutions of European design. The "pleated" treatment of the surface is not ornament for its own sake: it is a structural principle that stiffens the resin, improves the grip, and creates a play of shadows that changes with the hours of the day. Design as architecture in miniature. We chose it for Stilmobili because it embodies exactly what we look for: objects capable of inhabiting the kitchen without disappearing among the appliances, but without showing off either. The Plissé is for those who furnish their home with intention, for those who consider the worktop a space to care for just as much as the living room. It is the ideal companion for a leisurely breakfast, an orderly desk, and a coherent domestic project. Project notes: The MDL06/1WUS version is equipped with an American plug and joins the Alessi collection with a spring-summer seasonal vocation — designed to bring lightness and brightness to interiors. Capacity 100 cl, weight 1.51 kg. A lightweight object, in every sense.
