Alessi — Plico RS11 B | Sapper folding cart, black

There is something almost cinematic about the gesture with which Plico opens and unfolds into the space. A precise, almost mechanical movement that reveals two generous polyurethane shelves and a steel structure painted with deep black epoxy resin. It is not simply a trolley: it is an object that knows how to inhabit a room - discreet when folded, present when in use. Plico was created by Richard Sapper, one of the most rigorous and visionary designers of the second half of the twentieth century. German by birth and Italian by adoption, Sapper designed pieces for Alessi that have become part of the history of contemporary design - from the 9090 coffee maker to the 9091 kettle with its distinctive tonal whistle. With Plico, he brings that same tension between engineering and formal allure that has always distinguished his work to small-scale furnishings: no superfluous ornament, only form that arises from function and surpasses it. At Stilmobili, we chose Plico because it represents exactly the category of objects we define as "discreet essentials": able to disappear when not needed and become quiet protagonists when they come into play. It is designed for those who like to have everything within reach - in the kitchen during a dinner, in a study, in a multifunctional living space - without giving up on aesthetics. Ideal for urban apartments where every centimeter of space is a choice. Project notes: steel structure in epoxy resin, black finish. Polyurethane shelves. Open dimensions: 86 × 46 × 78 cm. Net weight: 12.6 kg. Designed by Richard Sapper for Alessi.
