alessi-pleats-jk02-23-vassoio-rotondo-in-acciaio-inox
Alessi — Pleats JK02/23 | Round stainless steel tray

There is something hypnotic about looking at Pleats from above: a perfect circle of 18/10 stainless steel that ripples toward the center like the fabric of a garment in motion. The surface is not smooth — it is alive, crossed by regular, precise pleats that capture the light and return it differently at every hour of the day. An object that changes with whoever looks at it, and with the light passing through it.
The design is by Jin Kuramoto, one of the most refined Japanese designers of his generation, able to work with industrial materials with the sensitivity of a craftsman. Kuramoto brings an essential and profound vision of form to his method: every line has a reason, every pleat a structural meaning before it is an aesthetic one. Pleats originated in the Alessi permanent collection and is part of the fall/winter lineup, a season when cold, lustrous materials find their most natural setting, reflecting candles, white tablecloths, and winter tables.
At Stilmobili, we chose Pleats because it represents exactly what we look for in a designer tableware object: not merely a container, but a piece capable of transforming the context around it. Ideal for those who want to bring aesthetic rigor to everyday gestures too — setting down keys, serving fruit, holding small objects — without ever giving up formal beauty.
Project notes: round 18/10 stainless steel tray, 23 cm diameter, 1.5 cm height. Net weight 500 g. The polished finish enhances the geometry of the pleats and maintains its appearance over time with minimal care.

Dim Z

1.50 cm

Designer

Jin Kuramoto

Net Weight

.500 Kg

Diameter

23.00 cm

Height

1.50 cm

Technical documentation

📄 Galvanic Gold Warning 6802534 4 languages black 100x60 Febr2025

📄 NEW WARNING PAINTED 6802612 May2025

📄 PS25 JK01 JK02 Pleats Trays FR watermark

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0896/8755/6437/files/01_e089127a-0fb5-407d-a10d-f45f43602fe8.webp?v=1780917854
