Alessi — PlateBowlCup AJM28/89 | White porcelain Jasper Morrison mug

There is a particular quietness to this cup. The white porcelain offers itself to the hand with an almost disarming simplicity, as if every centimeter of its form had been subtracted rather than added. The white is full and unwavering, and the cylindrical silhouette closes with a quiet coherence rarely found in everyday objects. A capacity of thirty centiliters: the right measure for a long American coffee, a morning tea, a pause worth stopping to experience. PlateBowlCup was born from the vision of Jasper Morrison, one of the most influential British designers of his generation, who has always been engaged in a pursuit he himself defined as "super normal" — the beauty hidden in ordinary things, refined to its purest essence. The collection, conceived for Alessi as part of Alessi's A line, is a tableware system that operates through subtraction: plates, bowls, and cups designed as a unified visual vocabulary, where nothing is superfluous and everything communicates with the rest. Morrison does not decorate: he reveals. At Stilmobili, we chose this mug because it embodies a truth we deeply share — that the highest form of design does not shout or show off, but simply inhabits. It is the ideal object for those who have already made the journey toward a mindful home, for those who seek at their table not the whim of the moment but the solidity of a choice that does not grow old. It pairs naturally with the rest of the PlateBowlCup family, yet stands with full dignity on its own. Project notes: Mug in white porcelain, capacity 30 cl, diameter 8 cm. Part of Alessi's A Collection, designed by Jasper Morrison. Spring/summer lineup.
