Alessi — PCH05/30 | Pierre Charpin stainless steel fruit bowl

There is a quiet geometry in 18/10 stainless steel when it is bent, stretched, and calibrated until it finds its definitive form. Pierre Charpin's PCH05/30 fruit bowl inhabits that subtle territory where an object ceases to be simply useful and becomes a presence. The generous thirty-centimeter diameter leaves room for gesture, the casual arrangement of fruit, and that small domestic stage set that is renewed on the table every morning. Its contained height - twelve centimeters - gives it a horizontal, almost grounded profile, capable of conversing with any surface without ever overwhelming it. Pierre Charpin is one of those French designers who has managed to build an unmistakable formal vocabulary, made of considered curves and proportions that seem inevitable. His work with Alessi fits into the long tradition of the Crusinallo manufacture in interpreting the most refined European design through Italian metallurgical mastery. Charpin brings an almost painterly sensibility to every piece - unsurprisingly, his career includes years of artistic research - transforming the functional object into something closer to table sculpture. At Stilmobili, we chose this fruit bowl because it represents exactly what we seek: the ability of an object to rise above without ostentation. It is designed for those who furnish with awareness, who consider the kitchen and dining room spaces deserving of the same care reserved for the living room. Perfect as a housewarming gift or as an addition to a table already thoughtfully arranged in its main elements. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel — diameter 30 cm, height 12 cm — weight 1.22 kg. Part of the Alessi collection, with a spring/summer seasonal cadence.
