Alessi — Parrot AAM32 B | Mendini Sommelier black corkscrew

There is something almost ceremonial about opening a bottle with the right corkscrew. Alessi's Parrot - black, compact, with its unmistakable silhouette - transforms an everyday gesture into a small ritual of style. Made of die-cast aluminum and polycarbonate, and held in its dark version, this sommelier corkscrew immediately reveals a tactile quality: the balanced weight, the lever that glides with precision, the shape that seems designed as much for the hand as for the bar drawer. The Parrot was born from the meeting of Alessandro Mendini's vision and Pulltaps technology, the patented double-lever system that revolutionized the experience of professional sommeliers. Mendini - an undisputed master of radical and postmodern design and creator of the celebrated Anna G corkscrew - chose a different path here: not figurative sculpture, but functional purity reinterpreted through his inimitable aesthetic sensibility. The Parrot belongs to Alessi's **A Collection**, a design universe where technical rigor merges with the poetry of everyday life. At Stilmobili, we chose it because it represents exactly what we look for: objects that can fit effortlessly both on a carefully set table and in the drawer of a well-used kitchen. It is the ideal gift for anyone who loves wine without taking themselves too seriously, or for those who take it very seriously indeed - and want a tool worthy of the occasion. It works for both.
