Alessi — Parmenide AARU01 B | Resin and steel grater

Parmenide is an object that sits at the table as naturally as good cheese completes a dish. The grater with container designed by Alejandro Ruiz for Alessi combines black thermoplastic resin and polished steel in a form that balances visual weight and functional lightness: the deep black of the container provides a counterpoint to the reflective, precise metal surface, which grates with the quiet efficiency characteristic of well-designed objects. Alejandro Ruiz, known in the contemporary design world by the initials CSA, brings a formal sensibility to Parmenide that does not sacrifice its domestic character. The piece belongs to the **A collection by Alessi**, one of the most ambitious projects of the Fabbrica di Crusinallo: an alphabet of objects for the table and kitchen in which each letter corresponds to an archetype of everyday life, reinterpreted by designers from around the world with creative freedom and manufacturing rigor. Parmenide enters this grammar as a simple and necessary tool - an object with a philosophical name, almost as if to remind us that even the most ordinary act can contain a form of thought. At Stilmobili, we selected it because it embodies exactly what we seek for our tables: the ability to make what is useful beautiful, without emphasis or excess. It is ideal for those who want every detail of the kitchen and dining experience to reflect a conscious choice - for those who understand that design does not belong only in the living room, but also lives in the intimacy of a family lunch or dinner with friends. Project notes: compact dimensions (15.3 × 7.5 × 6.7 cm) make it easy to handle at the table and store in the pantry. The dual material character - matte black resin and polished steel - ensures long-lasting durability and easy cleaning, without sacrificing the aesthetic coherence of the Alessi A collection.
