Alessi — Ovale REB09/8 | Coffee spoon by Bouroullec

There is something almost hypnotic about the formal perfection of a coffee spoon when it is designed with such intense care. Ovale brings the purity of polished 18/10 stainless steel into the palm of your hand: a surface that captures the light, reflects the warmth of the espresso cup, and accompanies the daily ritual of coffee with a silent, unmistakable presence. The shape is exactly what the name promises - oval, elongated, free of unnecessary tension - yet capable of conveying a rare tactile softness in metal. Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Breton brothers and among the most respected voices in contemporary European design, have built their artistic vision on the dialogue between apparent simplicity and conceptual complexity. With Ovale, they confirm this approach: the teaspoon says nothing, insists on nothing, and does not seek to amaze. It simply strives to be perfect. The project originated within the Bouroullec brothers' collaboration with Alessi, an Italian manufacturer that for decades has made the table a field for research and cultural storytelling. At Stilmobili, we chose Ovale because it perfectly represents the kind of object that distinguishes a carefully set table from one that is simply laid. It is the ideal gift for those who appreciate design without flaunting it, for those who recognize the value of an everyday gesture elevated to a ritual. It integrates naturally into contemporary and minimalist settings, while conversing with equal ease with more classic cutlery sets. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel, polished finish. Length 12.5 cm. Net weight 31 g. Part of the Alessi collection, fall/winter season.
