Alessi — Ovale REB09/6 | Bouroullec fruit knife

There is something unexpectedly poetic about a fruit knife. It is one of the humblest objects on the table, yet in the hands of Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec it becomes the point where geometry meets gesture. Ovale is cutlery that stands out for what it does not do: it does not overreach, make declarations, or seek attention. The AISI 420 steel blade and the overall twenty-centimeter profile create a restrained, continuous silhouette, where the collection's name itself - Ovale - suggests the softness of curves, the absence of edges, a form that finds peace in its own outline. Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec are among the most consistent and recognizable voices in contemporary European design. Born in Brittany and Parisian by adoption, the two brothers have developed a visual language that favors the essential without ever becoming austere. Their approach to cutlery for Alessi follows the same philosophy as their most celebrated pieces: nothing is accidental, everything is measured. The Ovale collection stems from a reflection on the table as a harmonious system, where each element interacts with the others in a shared formal grammar. At Stilmobili, we chose Ovale because it represents exactly what we look for when selecting an object for the table: the ability to elevate the everyday without making it unrecognizable. It is the right cutlery for those who create a thoughtfully arranged table setting, for those who consider the table a space for aesthetic care as much as conviviality. Ideal as a single purchase to complete an existing set or as the starting point for an entire collection. Project notes: AISI 420 stainless steel fruit knife. Length 20 cm. Net weight 67 g.
