Alessi — Ossidiana MT18/3 | Cast aluminum espresso coffee maker

There is something ancient and at the same time radically contemporary about Ossidiana. The cast aluminum from which this three-cup coffee maker is formed has the material density of volcanic stone - and it is no coincidence that the name evokes that very natural glass, dark and sharp, born from fire. The deep black of the handle and knob in thermoplastic resin is not an incidental detail: it is the chromatic signature that unifies the silhouette, giving the object an almost sculptural presence on the kitchen counter. Mario Trimarchi - a Palermo-born designer among the most refined voices on the Italian scene, in privileged dialogue with the Crusinallo manufacturing tradition for years - signs this work with his customary ability to bring poetry and formal rigor together. Ossidiana is part of the AlessiPalinsesto collection, a seasonal editorial project through which Alessi explores uncharted aesthetic territories without abandoning the industrial vocation that has defined its identity for almost a century. We at Stilmobili chose it because it perfectly embodies what we look for when selecting an object for our catalog: the ability to transform an everyday gesture - that of morning coffee - into a moment of aesthetic awareness. It is designed for those who furnish with intention, for those who see the kitchen as a space for expression and not merely function. An impeccable gift, a self-purchase you will not forget.
