Alessi — Officina | Aldo Rossi Design Sugar Bowl

Alessi Officina — Sugar Has Its Own Architecture

There is something precise and quiet about serving sugar with an object designed by Aldo Rossi. The Officina sugar bowl brings the same geometric tension and compositional care to the table that have made Rossi one of the most influential Italian architects of the 20th century. A piece that does not hide at the back of the cupboard: it takes center stage every day.

Why we chose it for you

Alessi began in 1921 as a craftsman's workshop on Lake Orta and has since evolved into one of the world's most renowned applied design laboratories. Its collaboration with Aldo Rossi produced objects that cross the boundary between function and form with rare consistency. Officina is one of them: polished 18/10 stainless steel, carefully studied proportions, and a teaspoon included. An object that lasts and tells a story.
