Alessi — Sweetheart | Gray Hannon-Tan Design Nutcracker

Alessi Crocodile Nutcracker — The Right Bite for Every Nut

There’s something immediate and irresistible about a nutcracker that already knows exactly what to do. Alessi’s Crocodile — Sweetheart JHT03, designed by Jim Hannon-Tan — brings the same predatory logic of the reptile that inspired it into the kitchen: precise, effective, and full of character. Holding it means instantly understanding how it works, and using it is just as straightforward.

Why we chose it for you

Since 1921, Alessi has transformed everyday objects into small pieces of design culture. This nutcracker is a perfect example: its shape tells the story of its function, while its function justifies its shape. The serrated front grips the shells of smaller nuts, while the concave inner structure embraces and securely holds the nut during pressure. The result is a tool that does not slip, does not strain, and does not disappoint — made of die-cast aluminum with a PVD coating and designed to last.

Ideal for

For anyone who likes to have everything needed on the autumn table, with style: walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds — this nutcracker handles them all without hesitation. It also makes a gift with a personality of its own, capable of bringing a smile even before it is used. An object that stays on the worktop simply because it looks good there.
