Alessi — Nuovo Milano 5180/17 S | Sottsass steel fish fork

There is an almost musical precision in the Nuovo Milano fish fork: the thin, closely spaced tines, the handle that slips between the fingers with the discretion of satin-finished stainless steel, the nineteen-centimeter length calibrated to accompany the gesture without ever imposing itself. An object that belongs on the table as a note belongs in a score - necessary, exact, quietly beautiful. Nuovo Milano was born from the collaboration between Ettore Sottsass and Alberto Gozzi, a meeting between two complementary sensibilities that Alessi successfully translated into one of the most coherent cutlery collections in its repertoire. Sottsass - master of Memphis, design intellectual, a man capable of redesigning everyday life with irony and rigor - brings here a purist vocation that surprises those who know him only through the vivid colors of the 1980s. The result is a table service in which modernity is expressed through subtraction, not excess. At Stilmobili, we chose Nuovo Milano because it represents exactly the kind of beauty we believe in: the kind that does not announce itself, but reveals itself through use. It is the ideal cutlery for those who set a table with the same care with which they choose a work of art, for those who know that the difference between a lunch and an experience often lies in the smallest details. A choice for refined palates, in the most literal and metaphorical sense of the term. Project notes: the 5180/17 S fish fork is part of the Nuovo Milano series, now classified as end-of-line - enhancing its value for collectors and for those wishing to complete or start a table service designed to last over time. Satin-finished stainless steel, length 19 cm, weight 65 grams.
