Alessi — MT19 B | La Stanza dello Scirocco, black wall clock

There is something atmospheric about this clock that goes beyond the simple measurement of time. "La Stanza dello Scirocco" evokes a Mediterranean interior suspended in the afternoon, where the air is still and time flows with an almost tactile slowness. Its steel silhouette, coated in deep black epoxy resin, transforms an everyday function into a contemplative object: a presence on the wall that attracts attention, makes itself felt, and tells something about the person who chose to live with care. The project is by Mario Trimarchi, a Sicilian designer of rare training and sensibility, who has long been one of the most poetic voices in the Alessi catalog. Trimarchi often works at the boundary between object and narrative, between industrial form and cultural memory. In this piece, the reference to the warm Mediterranean wind is not decorative but structural: it is the organizing principle of an aesthetic that favors evocation over description, emotion over stated function. The dimensions - 46 cm by 33.5 cm - give the clock a striking presence, capable of engaging with broad surfaces without overpowering them. We chose it for Stilmobili because it embodies what we look for in every furnishing accessory: the balance between the quality of the material and the quality of thought. It is ideal for those who want to furnish an office or study with objects that have character without shouting, for those who love Italian design in its more reflective and less ostentatious sense. It naturally complements contemporary interiors in dark or neutral tones, but can also surprise in more classic settings as an elegant break from tradition. Project notes: steel treated with black epoxy resin, with a uniform, deep finish. Dimensions 46 × 33.5 cm. Net weight 1.335 kg. Part of the permanent Alessi collection, featured in the spring/summer selection.
