Three turned beechwood forms, dressed in the colors of the Mediterranean summer - red, pink, yellow - are arranged on the table like sculptural presences, almost small domestic totems. The salt, pepper, and spice grinders in the MP0210 2 series have the dense solidity of objects that do not seek attention but inevitably capture it: warm wood to the touch, silent mechanics, and a color palette that brightens even the most neutral table. At twenty-three centimeters high, they inhabit the space with a gentle, self-assured verticality. Ettore Sottsass - architect, designer, poet of forms - moved through the twentieth century, leaving indelible traces wherever he turned his gaze: from the Memphis revolution to objects for Olivetti, and finally to the small domestic cosmologies designed for Alessi. His unmistakable signature can be recognized in these grinders: color as a primary language, form as a cultural act, and everyday life elevated into a field of research. The piece belongs to the Alessi 100 Values Collection, an editorial project through which the Crusinallo manufacturer brought together the masterpieces of its historic catalog, those that redefined the very concept of a kitchen object.
