Alessi — Mooncube GJ02 8 | Blown glass Christmas decoration

A cube dreaming of being a moon. Mooncube is a hand-decorated blown-glass Christmas ornament that suspends an unexpected geometry in the air of the festive season: the solidity of the cubic form dissolves into the transparency of the glass, allowing light and color to filter through with the unexpected grace of an object belonging on the border between play and poetry. Within its compact dimensions - six centimeters per side, just over nine centimeters in height - lies the full power of detail to make its presence felt. Behind Mooncube are two of the most eccentric and visually subversive minds in Italy's creative scene: Massimo Giacon and Marcello Jori, artists and designers united by the same sophisticated irony, the same ability to infuse everyday objects with pop culture, and a sense of play that is never superficial. Their collaboration with Alessi has produced pieces that have entered the collective imagination of contemporary design, capable of making people smile without compromising on quality craftsmanship. Mooncube is part of the AlessiPalinsesto collection, designed for the fall/winter seasonal cycles, and brings with it the artisanal warmth of blown-glass craftsmanship that makes each piece unique. We chose it for those looking for a Christmas ornament that rises above the rhetoric of traditional decoration without losing its ability to inspire emotion. Mooncube is for those who know that a Christmas tree is also an aesthetic manifesto: a small curator of beauty that hangs from its branches not just any ornament, but a small act of authorship. Ideal as a refined gift or as a distinctive touch in a festive display that wants to tell a story. Project notes: hand-decorated blown glass, dimensions 6.0 × 5.5 × 9.2 cm.
