Alessi — MJ16 5 | Golden bee, porcelain Christmas decoration

There is something ancient and precious about the bee, a symbol of industriousness, wisdom, and distilled sweetness. Alessi reinterprets it in white porcelain decorated by hand, transforming it into a small talisman to hang on the Christmas tree. Six centimeters in diameter, seventy-two millimeters in height: discreet, almost intimate dimensions that nevertheless give it a surprising presence. The handcrafted painterly touch makes each piece unique, with slight variations that reveal the hand of the person who made it. Behind the Golden Bee is the vision of Marcello Jori, a Bolognese artist with a hybrid, unclassifiable career spanning painting, auteur comics, and design. Jori brings an illustrative, fairytale sensibility to Alessi: his objects seem to have emerged from a poetic bestiary, where nature becomes an icon and the icon becomes a story. The collaboration with the historic Crusinallo manufacturer produces pieces with the lightness of play and the depth of applied art. At Stilmobili, we chose the Golden Bee because it embodies exactly what we look for during the holidays: not standardized, interchangeable decoration, but a piece that stands out, is memorable, and that someone will want to pick up and examine more closely. It is the ideal gift for those who love design even in seasonal details, for art enthusiasts, and for anyone who wants to create a tree with their own visual and cultural identity. Project notes: hand-decorated porcelain, height 7.2 cm, diameter 6 cm. Part of the Alessi Palinsesto autumn/winter collection. Each piece should be considered unique due to the hand decoration.
