MGU05 Fruit Bowl - When Fruit Becomes a Message

There's something unusual about this fruit bowl designed by Martí Guixé for Alessi: it doesn't simply hold fruit on the table. Its stand was designed to also hold handwritten words - a thought, a wish, a shared dream at breakfast. An object that encourages communication, transforming the everyday act of setting the table into something more intimate and meaningful.

Why we chose it for you

Alessi was founded in 1921 on the shores of Lake Orta as an artisan workshop, and since then it has built its identity around a precise idea: everyday objects can convey meaning, beauty, and even dialogue. Martí Guixé shares this vision and takes it to its logical extreme: his collection for Alessi is based on the premise that objects are tools for perceiving and telling the story of everyday reality. The MGU05 fruit bowl is its most immediate expression - functional, sculptural, and capable of starting conversations without saying a word.
