Alessi — MG32 W | Graves electric kettle in white steel

There is something profoundly theatrical about Michael Graves's MG32 kettle: its compact, almost spherical form, which extends downward with a gentle gravity; the white thermoplastic resin engaging with the sheen of 18/10 stainless steel, creating an interplay of surfaces that transforms an everyday gesture - bringing water to a boil - into a moment of visual pleasure. The ergonomic handle invites a natural grip, while the cordless base provides a freedom of movement that already belongs to the contemporary domestic ritual. Michael Graves, one of the most influential American architects and designers of Postmodernism, left an indelible mark on Alessi. His language - made up of classical references reinterpreted with irony and color, and forms that can be both familiar and surprising - found in Alessi a partner capable of translating it into industrially produced objects without sacrificing an ounce of personality. The MG32 kettle belongs to this creative period: a piece that does not hide on the cooktop, but discreetly asserts its right to be seen. We at Stilmobili chose it because it perfectly embodies that tension between function and narrative that we seek in every object we bring into our space. It is ideal for those who want the kitchen to speak a language consistent with the rest of the home: refined, understated, and capable of withstanding seasonal trends. A quiet companion for those who appreciate design as an everyday act. Project notes: polished 18/10 stainless steel, white thermoplastic resin handle and base, 2000 W power, 1.5-liter capacity, 27 cm height, 25.5 cm diameter. European plug. Designer: Michael Graves.
