Alessi — Mediterraneo ESI01/21 | 18/10 stainless steel fruit bowl

There is something ancient yet absolute about the form of Mediterraneo. This 18/10 stainless steel fruit bowl carries with it the memory of a millennia-old cultural basin: light bouncing off the polished surfaces evokes reflections on water, jagged coastlines, and geometries that time has refined to their essence. With a diameter of 21 centimeters and a compact profile measuring 9.5 cm, it rests on the table with the naturalness of an object that seems always to have been there. Mediterraneo was created through a collaboration between Alessi and the creative duo LPWK — Emma Silvestris, voices of contemporary design capable of translating geographical and cultural inspirations into tangible forms. The name is not a decorative detail: it is an aesthetic program. The choice of 18/10 stainless steel — an iconic material in the Alessi tradition, worked with the goldsmith's precision that made the Crusinallo Design Factory famous — transforms an everyday gesture such as serving fruit at the table into a small ritual of beauty. At Stilmobili, we chose Mediterraneo because it embodies one of the tensions that resonates with us most: that between function and poetry, between an object for use and an object to look at. It is the ideal centerpiece for those who do not want to choose between the elegance of a thoughtfully decorated home and the vitality of a lived-in table. It lends itself to everyday cooking with the same ease with which it graces a memorable table setting. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel, diameter 21 cm, height 9.5 cm, weight 714 g. Part of the Alessi permanent collection, fall/winter season.
