Alessi — Mazagran GIA31 R | Red glass iced coffee pitcher

There is something seductive about the transparency of borosilicate glass as the coffee slowly drips through it, cold and concentrated. Mazagran is a carafe designed for cold brew and cold-filtered coffee: the borosilicate glass body - resistant to thermal shock, lightweight, and honest in its clarity - combines with elements in thermoplastic resin in a vibrant red color, while the internal 18/10 stainless steel filter quietly and precisely retains the grounds. With a capacity of ninety centiliters, a compact diameter of 10.5 cm, and a height that commands attention on the refrigerator shelf or kitchen counter as a sculptural object would. The design bears the signature of Giulio Iacchetti, a Milanese designer and one of the clearest interpreters of contemporary Italian design culture. Iacchetti has always worked at the boundary between function and storytelling, giving everyday objects a narrative dignity that goes beyond immediate usefulness. With Mazagran - a name that evokes the 19th-century Franco-Algerian military cup, the historical precursor of iced coffee - the designer creates a piece that belongs as much to tradition as to the contemporary obsession with slow extraction and the mindful ritual of caffeine. At Stilmobili, we chose Mazagran because it perfectly captures the dual character we love: refined functionality and non-decorative beauty. It is the right gift for those who collect experiences as well as objects, for specialty coffee enthusiasts who do not want to sacrifice aesthetics, and for those who set up a kitchen where every element has a reason to be there. *Project notes:* Borosilicate glass and red thermoplastic resin / 18/10 stainless steel filter / Capacity 90 cl / Ø 10.5 cm / H 32 cm / Design by Giulio Iacchetti for Alessi.
