Alessi — Mattina BG03 WG | Warm Grey bread box with cutting board

There is something deeply domestic about the gesture of opening a bread box in the morning. Mattina knows this and transforms it into a small ritual of everyday beauty. Made of steel coated with epoxy resin in the refined Warm Grey shade - a warm gray reminiscent of polished concrete and northern mists - this bread box combines the solidity of metal with the softness of a color that never grows tiresome. The sliding lid reveals a bamboo wood cutting board, a material noble by nature, inviting you to cut, share, and gather around the table. Mattina is a project by the BIG-GAME studio, a Swiss-Luxembourgish collective founded by Elric Petit, Grégoire Jeanmonod, and Augustin Scott de Martinville. For years, BIG-GAME has been one of Alessi's preferred partners in exploring a sober, direct design that does not sacrifice formal intelligence. Their research always begins with the object in use, with its functional logic, and arrives at forms that seem as though they have always existed - inevitable, right. At Stilmobili, we chose Mattina because it embodies one of the convictions that guide our selection: that the kitchen is a space for culture, not just function. It is designed for those who enjoy setting the table with care, even for breakfast, and for those who consider the quality of everyday objects a form of respect for themselves and their guests. It works with equal grace in an urban kitchen with contemporary taste or in a country setting with natural tones. Project notes: steel with Warm Grey epoxy finish, removable bamboo cutting board. Dimensions: 34 × 21 × 14 cm. Designer: BIG-GAME. Collection: Alessi Palinsesto spring/summer.
