Alessi — Mami | Porcelain Coffee Cup

Mami Coffee Cup — The coffee ritual in archetypal form

There is something familiar about the shape of this cup, as if you had always known it. The Mami collection was born from the desire to rediscover the simplicity of genuine things: lines that do not seek to amaze, but to accompany. Holding it between your fingers in the morning, waiting for the coffee to rise, pouring it slowly - everything takes on a different significance when the gesture meets an object designed with such care.

Why we chose it for you

Mami is one of the most thoughtful chapters in the history of Alessi, the Piedmontese workshop founded in 1921 that for over a century has transformed everyday objects into applied research. Stefano Giovannoni - one of the most recognizable voices in Italian design of the 1990s - created this collection with a precise intention: to leave behind the playful style that had made him famous and explore a new path, that of classicism and archetypal forms. The result is a table setting imbued with memory, inherited gestures, and a certain idea of the Italian home.
