Alessi — Mami SG53/90 | White porcelain cappuccino cup

There is something deeply reassuring about the perfection of a white cup. Alessi's Mami - a cappuccino cup in pristine porcelain - belongs to that category of objects that seem to have always existed, as though the form had found its own reason for being. The absolute whiteness of the porcelain captures the morning light, the rim meets the lips with an almost organic softness, and its 20 cl capacity holds the cappuccino foam with the right balance between content and emptiness. Mami is one of the most beloved collections in the entire Alessi catalog: designed by Stefano Giovannoni, one of the most influential Italian designers of his generation, the line was created with the ambition of redefining contemporary tableware through a formal language that nods to the European tradition of porcelain while reinterpreting it with the sensibility of Italian design in the 2000s. The result is a coherent, harmonious family of objects, capable of complementing both minimalist settings and more eclectic interiors. At Stilmobili, we chose the Mami cup because it embodies that exceptionally rare quality of domestic design: the ability to transform an everyday gesture - morning coffee, a midday break - into a small ritual of beauty. It is the cup for those who consider the table an aesthetic space, not merely a functional one. Ideal as a single piece to complement an existing collection, or as a starting point for building a complete set. Design notes: white porcelain, capacity 20 cl, diameter 9 cm. Part of the Mami collection by Stefano Giovannoni for Alessi. Currently classified as discontinued - a detail that further increases its value for collectors and enthusiasts.
