Alessi — Mami SG53/79 | White porcelain teacup saucer

There is something deeply homely and refined at once in the gesture of placing a cup on its saucer. Alessi's Mami saucer transforms it into a small daily ritual: the pure, compact white porcelain welcomes the cup with a formal precision that never gives up softness. The absolute white of the surface is not coldness, but silence - a neutral backdrop that enhances the moment of pause, the warmth of the drink, and slow conversation. Mami was created by Stefano Giovannoni, one of the most recognizable designers on the Italian design scene, capable of translating postmodern irony into objects that speak to everyone without ever becoming banal. The collection, whose name evokes the archetypal figure of the mother - warmth, care, abundance - is conceived as a complete tableware service in which each piece interacts with the others through soft lines and carefully calibrated proportions. Giovannoni shapes the porcelain with the same attention an architect gives to designing a space: every curve is intentional, every dimension responds to a precise gesture. At Stilmobili, we chose Mami because it represents exactly the borderline area that interests us: where quality design enters everyday life without announcing itself, where a well-made object becomes invisible so that the moment can stand out. The SG53/79 saucer is designed for those who set the table with care, for those who consider the table a space for lived-in aesthetics, not ostentation. Project notes: high-quality white porcelain, diameter 16 cm. An integral part of the Mami collection, available to pair with cups, plates, and accessories from the same line. Spring/summer assortment.
