There is something both ancestral and fairytale-like about this small porcelain sculpture. La Roccia appears as a fragment of an inner landscape: an object that inhabits a space with the same stillness as a stone smoothed by water, yet capable of awakening a subtle sense of wonder in the home. Behind La Roccia are two of the most original creative minds in the Italian design and illustration scene: Massimo Giacon and Marcello Jori, a duo with an unmistakable aesthetic, capable of blending pop irony, underground culture, and a profound sensitivity to form. The piece was created as part of the A di Alessi collection, an editorial and visual project in which Alessi entrusts its Christmas vocabulary to artists and designers engaged in research, far from the season's clichés. The result is a line that redraws the boundary between decoration and applied art every year. We chose La Roccia because it embodies exactly what we seek for our clients' homes: objects that do more than decorate, but open up a space for aesthetic reflection.
