Alessi — La Cupola A9095/3 B | Aldo Rossi Espresso Coffee Maker, 3 Cups

There is something hieratic about La Cupola's profile: the summit that evokes an architectural vault, the turned body rising firmly from the cooktop, the material blackness of the handle contrasting with the polished aluminum. It is an object that does not merely prepare coffee - it celebrates it. Each morning, the moka ritual becomes a conscious act, a small domestic ceremony presided over by a form with the silent solidity of architecture. Aldo Rossi - architect, theorist, and pivotal figure in Italian Rationalism - designed La Cupola in 1988 for Alessi's A Collection, the same creative universe that had already enabled him to translate his formal vocabulary of archetypes, collective memories, and elementary geometries into functional objects. In the history of architecture, the dome is the form of the sacred and of permanence: Rossi brings it to the stovetop, scales it down to hand size, and returns it to everyday life without depriving it of dignity. A theoretical gesture turned into an object. At Stilmobili, we chose La Cupola because it embodies exactly what we seek: the point at which design ceases to be ornament and becomes thought. It is the ideal gift for those who live consciously, for collectors who want a piece with a real story, and for those who believe that even seven o'clock coffee deserves a container worthy of it. In the black version, it acquires an added gravitas - less domestic, more sculptural. Project notes: cast aluminum with handle and knob in black thermoplastic resin; capacity 15 cl for 3 espresso cups; height 22.4 cm, base diameter 8.6 cm. Alessi's A Collection.
