The 18\/10 stainless steel lid, with a mirror finish both inside and out, translates that perfection into a tangible object. The polished surface captures the kitchen light and reflects it back multiplied, transforming an everyday gesture - lifting a lid, checking the cooking - into a moment of conscious formal beauty.\nRichard Sapper, one of the absolute masters of European industrial design, conceived La Cintura di Orione in the early 1980s in collaboration with Alberto Gozzi, creating what remains one of the most ambitious projects ever undertaken by Alessi: a complete cooking system, conceived with engineering rigor and aesthetic sensitivity. Sapper studied thermodynamics and material behavior in depth before designing each individual element of the series, and that care can still be perceived today in the quality of the form and the coherence of the overall project. Created under the aegis of Officina Alessi - the brand's advanced research laboratory - this 16 cm lid belongs to a catalog that redefined the relationship between cooking and auteur design.\nWe chose it for Stilmobili because it tells a story that goes beyond function. Whoever brings it into their home is not simply purchasing a kitchen accessory: they are welcoming a fragment of Italian and European design history, an object that engages with the intelligence of domestic space. It is ideal for those who already own pieces from the series or for anyone wishing to discover La Cintura di Orione with a first piece of rare formal quality.\nDesign notes: 18\/10 stainless steel, polished finish inside and out. Diameter 16 cm, height 4 cm. Net weight 331 g.
