The Lyonnaise pan from the *La Cintura di Orione* series - its name evokes the constellation of Orion, three stars aligned in the winter sky - has the low, flared shape typical of classic French cuisine, designed for sautéing, browning and reducing. Its trilaminated construction, three layers of material precisely bonded together - AISI 430 stainless steel, an aluminum core and an 18/10 stainless steel base - ensures even heat distribution and a rapid response to temperature changes. The magnetic base makes it compatible with any cooktop, including induction. *La Cintura di Orione* stems from one of the most ambitious collaborations in Alessi's history: Richard Sapper, the great German designer who became an Italian citizen and made Milan his home, worked side by side with Alberto Gozzi and brothers Pierre and Michel Troisgros, legendary chefs of French nouvelle cuisine. Developed in the 1980s, the project is a rare dialogue between product engineering and gastronomic expertise, between those who understand form and those who understand fire. The result is a cookware set that has never ceased to be relevant.
