"Orion's Belt" emerged from one of the most ambitious projects Alessi had ever undertaken: a program developed in the 1980s together with Richard Sapper - a German designer who made Milan his home, creator of objects that have entered the history of industrial design - and a constellation of exceptional collaborators. Alongside Sapper were technologist Alberto Gozzi and the great chefs Pierre Troisgros and Michel Troisgros, key figures in French nouvelle cuisine. The result was a range of cookware that combined the formal rigor of design with the practical wisdom of those who truly understand fire.
