Alessi — La Bella Tavola ES21/78 | White porcelain tea cup

There is a simplicity that is not achieved through subtraction, but through distillation. The La Bella Tavola tea cup by Alessi is exactly that: white porcelain in its most essential form, capable of holding not only the warmth of an infusion, but the entire silent ceremony of drinking. The pristine surface reflects light with the discretion characteristic of truly well-made objects, while the proportions - ten centimeters in diameter and twenty centiliters in capacity - give the everyday gesture the right measure, neither excessive nor meager. Behind this cup is the signature of Ettore Sottsass, one of the most influential figures in 20th-century Italian design. Founder of the Memphis movement, architect, writer, and photographer, Sottsass always understood design as a cultural act. La Bella Tavola was born from his rare ability to view everyday objects as small manifestos of civilization. In this tableware service, Sottsass chooses formal silence as a language: no ornament, no distraction, only the purity of porcelain and the coherence of a system designed to endure over time and in style. We chose it for Stilmobili because it represents what we look for in every piece in our selection: the ability to elevate the everyday without imposing itself. It is the cup for those who already understand that elegance does not need to announce itself. Ideal for those who set a table with precision and personality, for those who give with intention, and for those who want even tea time to become a small ritual of beauty. Project notes: White porcelain, capacity 20 cl, diameter 10 cm. La Bella Tavola collection, designed by Ettore Sottsass for Alessi. Part of a coordinated tableware system.
