Alessi — La Bella Tavola ES21/5 | Porcelain dessert plate

There is something disarming about the perfection of a white plate when it is truly well designed. The dessert plate from the La Bella Tavola collection is porcelain in its most essential form: round, luminous, quiet. Twenty centimeters in diameter, it welcomes dessert as a stage welcomes an actor - with discretion and grace. The surface is pure white, smooth, and able to engage with any table setting without ever overshadowing it. Behind this seemingly quiet white lies the mind of Ettore Sottsass, one of the most restless and fertile intellects in twentieth-century Italian design. Founder of the Memphis group and a tireless provocateur, Sottsass also knew when to stop: when the right gesture was to remove, not add. La Bella Tavola was born from this awareness - the conviction that a well-set table is itself an act of design, and that the objects inhabiting it should serve this ritual with humility and formal precision. At Stilmobili, we chose this collection because it embodies what we believe about good furnishings: quality does not need to announce itself. It is the ideal plate for those building a table setting from scratch with intention, for those seeking a dinnerware set that can withstand the years without yielding to fashion, and for those who recognize in white not an absence, but a choice. Project notes: white porcelain, 20 cm diameter, 330 g weight. Suitable for everyday use as well as special occasions. Part of a complete tableware set that includes various shapes and sizes, all designed by Sottsass for Alessi.
