There is something hypnotic about Naoto Fukasawa's Kuru Kuru: a tray that seems born from the breath of a lathe, where 18/10 stainless steel stretches into a perfect disk forty centimeters in diameter. The surface reflects light with that quiet quality belonging to objects that have been thoughtfully designed, not simply manufactured. Placing it on a table is already an aesthetic gesture. Kuru Kuru - which in Japanese evokes rotary movement, spinning around itself - was born in the creative universe of the "Il Tornitore Matto" collection, the project through which Alessi explored the poetics of turning as an almost artisanal act applied to industrial production. Naoto Fukasawa, a master of essential Japanese design and the creator of iconic pieces for the world's leading brands, has designed here an apparently simple object that instead conceals a sophisticated reflection on pure form: the circle as archetype, metal as living matter. At Stilmobili, we chose Kuru Kuru because it embodies exactly the philosophy we love: that of an everyday object capable of elevating itself into a presence. It is ideal for those who love to set the table with intention, and for those seeking a centerpiece that competes with nothing yet defines everything. Perfect in a rigorously minimalist apartment, it is also extraordinary in a warmer interior, where the semi-polished metal creates contrast. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel tray, diameter 40 cm, height 3 cm. Weight 1.5 kg. Il Tornitore Matto collection, Alessi. Designer: Naoto Fukasawa.
