Alessi — Kuru Kuru ITM14 CU | PVD copper-plated stainless steel tray

There is something hypnotic about the Kuru Kuru: the 18/10 stainless steel surface with a copper-colored PVD coating captures the light and reflects it with an unusual warmth for metal, almost organic. Its generous forty-centimeter diameter makes it a striking presence on the table, capable of holding fruit, objects, scattered thoughts — anything that seeks a center around which to orbit. The visual lightness of the disc contrasts with the solidity of the material: touch it and you immediately understand that you are holding something precise, made without compromise. Naoto Fukasawa, the Japanese master of industrial design capable of distilling complexity into forms that always seem to have existed, conceived the Kuru Kuru for Alessi's *Il Tornitore Matto* collection — a family of objects that celebrates turning as a primordial gesture, the circle as an archetype. The name itself — "kuru kuru" in Japanese evokes rotational movement, spinning around oneself — is already a poetics: the tray does not stand still; it vibrates with its own silent energy. At Stilmobili, we chose the Kuru Kuru because it encapsulates what we seek in every piece: the ability to be useful while remaining irreducibly beautiful. It is the right object for those who furnish with intention, for those who know that a tray on the dining table or an entryway shelf is never just a tray. The copper tone of the PVD coating fits naturally into both contemporary settings and warmer, more layered interiors.
