alessi-ku-ti05-88-sottotazza-caffe-filtrato-in-porcellana
Alessi — KU TI05/88 | Porcelain filter coffee saucer

There is something meditative about the act of setting down a cup. The KU saucer by Alessi, made of pure white porcelain, transforms that everyday gesture into a moment of aesthetic awareness. The absolute whiteness of the material - smooth and unadorned, able to reflect light with the discretion of one who has nothing to prove - engages with the form in a balance that belongs to the tradition of great European craftsmanship and, at the same time, looks beyond it.
The KU collection was designed by Toyo Ito, one of the most influential Japanese architects of the 20th and 21st centuries and winner of the 2013 Pritzker Prize. Ito brings to the design his vision of space as flow, as permeability between indoors and outdoors: even in an apparently simple object like this saucer, one can perceive the search for a form that does not impose its presence but suggests it, with the same lightness with which Ito's architecture passes through matter. The collaboration with Alessi produced a service of rare formal coherence, in which each piece is conceived as part of a unified visual system.
At Stilmobili, we chose KU for those who believe that the table is a place of care, not merely function. This saucer is designed to accompany filtered coffee - a slow Nordic ritual, increasingly present in refined Italian homes - and is ideal for those who wish to create an understated, sophisticated table setting, far removed from decorative excess. A collectible piece, now at the end of its production run, whose rarity gives it even greater value.
Project notes: diameter 16 cm, white porcelain, net weight 190 g. Produced by Alessi, fall/winter collection. End of line: limited availability.

Designer

Toyo Ito

Net weight

.190 kg

Diameter

16.00 cm

Pieces per package

4

Technical documentation

📄 TI05 it

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0896/8755/6437/files/01_0edf6f8d-d2c3-4629-ada8-db7b7c7ec91f.webp?v=1780905961
