Alessi — Hellraiser | Rashid Design Citrus Holder

Alessi Hellraiser — Disorienting geometry, enduring beauty

Simply placing it on the table is already a stylish gesture. The Hellraiser citrus fruit holder by Alessi, designed by Karim Rashid, does not reveal itself at first glance: the facets multiply, the perforations interrupt every expected rhythm, and the eye continues searching for an order that never quite arrives. It is precisely in this controlled disorientation that its charm lies — an object that makes visual complexity its most recognizable signature.

Why we chose it for you

Alessi was founded in 1921 on Lake Orta as an artisan workshop and has evolved over time into what Alberto Alessi called a “research laboratory in the applied arts.” Each piece in the collection tells a story of collaboration between industry and authorship. Hellraiser was designed by Karim Rashid, one of the most recognizable designers in the international world of product design, and brings the tension of a deconstructed architecture into everyday kitchen life: each facet follows an irregular pattern, while each perforation further disrupts the symmetry, making the basket a sculptural presence even when empty.
