Alessi — KnifeForkSpoon AJM22/15 | 18/10 stainless steel cake server

There is something deeply honest about Alessi's AJM22/15 cake server: no superfluous ornamentation, no concession to decoration for its own sake. The wide, cleanly geometric 18/10 stainless steel blade slides beneath the slice with almost surgical precision, giving the hand holding it a rare sense of balance. The polished metal catches the light on the table and reflects it discreetly, as befits an object that chooses to step aside without ever disappearing. KnifeForkSpoon is one of the collections most representative of Jasper Morrison's design philosophy, created by the British designer who has made formal rigor his unmistakable signature. Morrison - already the creator of objects that have entered the history of contemporary design for brands such as Vitra, Flos and Muji - built this series around a precise idea: to restore cutlery to its archetypal essence, freeing it from all historical redundancy. The collection belongs to the "A di Alessi" program, curated by Alberto Alessi himself as a research space dedicated to the most radical designers on the international scene. At Stilmobili, we chose this cake server because it embodies exactly the philosophy guiding our selection: objects that last because they are well designed, not because they follow a trend. It is the ideal accompaniment for those who set a table thoughtfully, choosing every detail as an aesthetic gesture rather than a mere necessity. Perfect paired with the other pieces in the KnifeForkSpoon line, it works equally well as a standalone element on contemporary or minimalist tables. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel, length 26 cm. A di Alessi collection. Design by Jasper Morrison.
