Why We Chose It for You

Alessi, a research workshop in the applied arts founded in 1921 on Lake Orta, has always cultivated the idea that everyday objects deserve the same attention given to works of art. Julieta was created in collaboration with designer Lluís Clotet as a tribute to the characters in the novels of Catalan poet Josep Vicenç Foix: a narrative origin translated into a form that fits naturally into the kitchen without ever going unnoticed. It is this balance between function and storytelling that made us choose it.
