Alessi - Round Tray "Joy" in Colored Steel 40cm

Alessi Joy — When Steel Forgets It Is Steel

Placing it on the table is already a gesture. Claudia Raimondo's round Joy tray captures the light and returns it in reflections that change with every angle, as if the surface were breathing. The faceting of the steel — achieved through a refined contemporary molding technique — traces soft, almost indecisive edges that evoke the natural irregularity of a hand-worked object in precious metal. The result is a piece suspended between industrial rigor and organic fluidity.

Why we chose it for you

Alessi was founded in 1921 in Crusinallo, on Lake Orta, as an artisan workshop, and since then it has transformed every tableware object into a small field of research at the intersection of art, design, and function. The Joy tray belongs to the Joy n.3 collection designed by Claudia Raimondo: a project in which texture is not an added ornament, but the very structure of the form. The faceting shapes the object from within, reinterpreting steel through the vocabulary of the digital world and returning it as something fluid, crystallized in a moment of naturalness.
