Alessi — JM14/35 L | Round polished stainless steel tray

There is a quiet perfection in the circle. The Alessi JM14/35 L tray embodies it with absolute discretion: thirty-five centimeters of mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel, without ornaments or concessions. The surface reflects the surrounding environment with the lightness characteristic of materials that do not seek attention, yet receive it anyway. In the hand, it has just the right weight - almost a gram per centimeter - and on the table it acquires a presence that is at once neutral and definitive. It is signed by Jasper Morrison, one of the most rigorous British designers of his generation and a faithful interpreter of what he himself has defined as "super normal": objects that seem to have always existed, that never surprise but never disappoint. Morrison has worked with Alessi for years, bringing to the Crusinallo manufacture his rare ability to subtract without impoverishing, to simplify without trivializing. The JM14 is one of the most accomplished examples of this philosophy: primary form, noble material, considered proportions. At Stilmobili, we chose it because it perfectly represents the kind of object that never ages. It is the tray for those who see furnishing as building a cohesive environment over time, rather than chasing the seasons of taste. It works as a centerpiece, as a holder for bottles and glasses, or as a display surface in the kitchen or dining room. It pairs with any style as naturally as steel pairs with light. Design notes: polished 18/10 stainless steel, 35 cm diameter, 3 cm height. Exact geometry at the service of everyday use.
