Alessi — JM13/42 L | Morrison stainless steel serving platter

There is something profoundly honest about the shape of this serving platter. Made of 18/10 stainless steel, it reflects the light with that understated, unpretentious sheen that only carefully worked metal can produce. Its proportions - 42 cm in length and 35 cm in width - make it generous without being imposing, able to accommodate an entire serving with the same natural ease with which it occupies the center of a set table. In the hand, it has just the right weight: that of an object made to last. Jasper Morrison is one of the most rigorous and influential designers of his generation. British by training and Berlin-based by choice, Morrison has built his design philosophy around the concept of "super normal" - objects that do not shout or seek applause, but reveal a quiet, enduring quality over time. In collaboration with Alberto Gozzi, Alessi's long-standing in-house interpreter of its design culture, Morrison developed for the Manifattura di Crusinallo a line of table accessories that carries this philosophy to its natural conclusion: form and function reconciled without rhetorical flourishes. We chose it for Stilmobili because it embodies exactly the kind of object we love to bring into our customers' homes: one that does not age, does not tire, and competes with nothing. It is ideal for those who love to entertain with style but without ostentation, for those who want an elegant table even for everyday occasions, and for those who recognize in material details - the sheen of 18/10 steel, the perfection of the edge - the mark of a conscious choice.
