Alessi — Itsumo NF07/78S | Porcelain teacup with saucer

There is a particular quietness in the gesture of lifting a teacup. Itsumo understands and respects it. The white porcelain offers itself to the light with an almost meditative purity: no decoration to distract, no superfluous ornament. Only the silent perfection of the form, the right weight between the fingers, the saucer that welcomes the cup with the same dignity with which it is set down. An object that seems always to have been there, on the table, as if it had never needed to be invented. Itsumo is a creation by Naoto Fukasawa, the Japanese master of design who has succeeded in building a profound dialogue between the Eastern tradition of formal silence and the rigor of European industrial design. Fukasawa - known for his philosophy of "design without thought" - brings his most authentic vision to this tea set: objects that merge with the gesture, disappearing in use to make room for the experience. The name itself, Itsumo, means "always" in Japanese - a daily eternity crystallized in white porcelain. At Stilmobili, we chose Itsumo for those who know that beauty does not announce itself, but is perceived. It is the ideal cup for those who approach the tea ritual as a moment of mindful pause, for those who furnish with aesthetic sensibility without giving in to ostentation. It fits naturally into minimalist tablescapes and contemporary kitchens, but also alongside artisanal ceramics or family silver - because true quality converses with everything. Project notes: tea cup with saucer in white porcelain, capacity 24 cl, saucer diameter 16 cm, total height 13 cm. Part of the permanent Alessi collection, spring/summer season.
