Alessi — Itsumo NF07/54 | White porcelain Fukasawa bowl

There is a particular quietness to white porcelain when it is designed with genuine intention. Naoto Fukasawa's Itsumo small bowl for Alessi belongs to that rare category of objects that do not seek to amaze but to endure - on the table, in the memory, in the everyday gesture. The white is absolute, the form compact: a fourteen-centimeter diameter that embraces its contents with restraint, a height that does not overreach, a curve that guides the hand with quiet naturalness. Naoto Fukasawa is among the most thoughtful Japanese designers of his generation: trained between Tokyo and San Francisco, he has developed a philosophy founded on the idea that the best design is the kind that disappears in use, that does not impose its presence but allows itself to be inhabited. Itsumo - which means "always", "as always" in Japanese - is a name that reveals everything: not an object for a special occasion, but for every morning, every lunch, every evening. A tableware set designed to become invisible in its perfection. At Stilmobili, we chose Itsumo because it perfectly represents the tension that interests us: between the tradition of the Italian table - care, ritual, shared beauty - and a contemporary sensibility that knows how to remove without impoverishing. It is the ideal small bowl for those who set a table thoughtfully, for those who do not need every object to announce itself but expect each one to be exact. Design notes: white porcelain, diameter 14 cm, height 5.2 cm, capacity 48.5 cl. Part of the Itsumo collection designed by Naoto Fukasawa for Alessi, spring/summer line. A piece conceived for the series, for durability, for everyday life elevated into an aesthetic practice.
